miniature baby dolls

After sculpting life size dolls out of clay that dries on air and polymer clay I started to sculpt smaller and smaller dolls.

I love to sculpt facial features the most.

This images show some unbaked and baked versions of faces and dolls.

I put hair on to the heads by inserting the mohair with a cut off end of a sewing needle. One hair at the time en then put my finger on to the clay to warm it up and close the hole that way. Very very time consuming.
It is the same technique that is used for reborning vinyl and silicon baby dolls.
And recently I bought some kits and started to reborn the baby doll parts.

I have experiend in working with paint, I am a painter by profession.
Take a look at my website to see my drawings and paintings: website

Life size babydoll sculpted out of clay that dries by air

Before I started to sculpt with polymer clay I used clay that dries by air.

I am very proud of this doll. Real life size.

I love to sculpt character faces.
After I sculpted this doll I wrote a step by step book about sculpting baby-dolls out of polymer clay. This Ebook is still available and costs only 7,50 Euros.
